About Me

Hello and welcome to my little corner of the internet! Thanks for peeking in on the ins and outs and all-arounds of the life of a pastor’s wife, namely me.

My Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (or LCMS for short) pastor husband and I got married in November 2009. Before we met, if anyone had told me I would end up married to a pastor, I would have told them in no uncertain terms that they were crazy. I’m not a typical pastor’s wife. But then, Eric isn’t your typical pastor. He plays video games and listens to punk rock music and enjoys Star Trek a bit more than normal people. So it works.

He came to my home church as a seminary student, and our congregation loved him so much, they Called him to be the Associate Pastor when he graduated. He’s been sole pastor since 2011 when our former pastor retired. Our congregation is truly amazing. It really is like having a whole extra branch of family!

I grew up in “Da Region” (excuse the language towards the end…) which for those of you not from the area, is Northwest Indiana. The land where lemon rice soup is beloved by natives, but mostly despised by transplants. My husband grew up in Wisconsin so he finds “region rats” and their quirks both fascinating and odd.

My degrees are in psychology and sociology from Purdue University (Calumet – the local satellite campus), but my profession right now is wife and mom.

Our little guy was born January 23, 2018. We flew through our adoption home study in the fall/winter of 2017 and were matched quickly, only for him to surprise us all and enter the world 4 weeks early. Talk about a whirlwind! He is the light of our lives, and we are thankful every day for his birth parents.

I hope you enjoy your journey through my life’s adventures. Blessings on your day!
