Candlelight services are over, and the choirs and congregations have sung their hearts out to all the beautiful Christmas hymns we wait all year to sing.
Now, on this silent night (or if you have kids, this time of frantic prep of gift wrapping and placement before they wake up…), don’t forget to take the chance to reflect upon the Baby in the manger and His sacrifice for us all.
We, here in our home, are getting ready to celebrate our very first Christmas with our son. He’s been climbing on everything, and loves to tear paper (and put it in his mouth…) so present opening should be entertaining. He’ll either love it and try to rip everyone’s presents open, or he’ll get mad at us for tearing his “toys”, which he did when we tried to get him to open his present from Grandma Susan. Or there’s always the possibility that he’ll just get bored all together and want to play with his cars and train. We shall soon see…
Whether you have a grand soiree planned with family and friends, or a more quiet and somber day ahead, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
