And just like that, it’s the end of April. Wow, this year is just flying by, isn’t it? (Apparently, I’ve reached the age where I say this a lot…) Of course, with springtime comes the time to start thinking about gifts for parental units (or the people who are like parents to you or your kids).

That’s right, ladies and gentlemen. Mother’s Day isn’t just for moms. Mother’s Day is also a time to show appreciation for the ladies in your life who love you and your kids like their own. As someone who didn’t become a mother until age 39, I always felt very honored when my family and friends included me in their Mother’s Day celebrations, even though I had no children at the time.

So to give you a hand with your gift giving endeavor, I curated this list of 21 products on Amazon that would be some fun Mother’s Day gift ideas – for Mom, Grandma, Auntie, Friend, Neighbor, or just yourself.

What a beautiful little bag! It’s pricey to be sure, but how perfect would this be for a day of shopping or lunch with the ladies?

These sterling silver earrings are beautiful and would be an elegant yet reasonably priced gift that your loved one will adore.

Kitchen and Dining

Contigo travel coffee mugs are the best! I’ve been using them for years, and Eric has too. They don’t leak, and they keep your coffee warm for hours. Plus, look how pretty this one is! Who doesn’t want to drink their coffee out of a pretty mug?

How fun is this?? A milkshake maker to keep on your kitchen counter! (Or if you’d rather have a more multipurpose appliance, grab this amazing Kitchenaid Diamond Blender.) Pick up a set of these milkshake glasses to serve them in, and you’ll have a blast on milkshake night! (You could also use the milkshake glasses to make parfaits with this simple chocolate mousse recipe!)

Because the Kitchenaid Stand Mixer does take up quite a bit of room, sometimes it’s just better to save space and invest in a good quality hand mixer instead. We have both the stand mixer above (in cobalt blue) and this Kitchenaid 7 Speed Hand Mixer (in tangerine). They are both amazing workhorse products and so pretty too!

Know someone who doesn’t have a lot of kitchen space? Check out these nesting mixing bowls that come with measuring cups, a colander, and a sifter – all of which nest together to create as small a footprint as possible and save kitchen cabinet space. And the colors are so bright and pretty and cheerful!

This charming little retro teapot is just the right thing for someone who collects teapots or who just loves tea. It’s bright and colorful and sure to bring cheer to all who see it. And don’t forget some mugs to go with it!

Every messy baker or chef needs at least one apron. And this chevron one is darling! Looking for one a little more girly? This apron is super cute too!

Books

If you enjoy Greek mythology, you’ll want to check out Circe. I really enjoyed this book!

I love cookbooks, and I collect them. Even if there’s not a single recipe I’m interested in making, if it’s pretty, I want it. It drives Eric crazy… This Dessert of the Day cookbook by Williams-Sonoma looks like it would fit right in. Delicious desserts and beautiful photos. Oooh…

If you know a Wizard of Oz lover, this bookmark is a MUST. It looks like the seller has other bookmarks in different themes as well. If you know and love a book nerd, check them out for a fun Mother’s Day gift idea.

Gadgets

Is Mom big into photography? Or does she just take lots of photos of her little darlings? How cool would it be for her to be able to print them out wherever she was with this portable photo printer?! It connects to your smartphone or tablet through Bluetooth or wi-fi to make printing photos quick and easy.

If the special mama in your life enjoys music as much as I do, she’ll love having a waterproof speaker for the shower. Before Judah was born, I always listened to music while I was in the shower. It certainly makes shower concerts that much easier!

The Gift of Convenience – For You and For Mom

I had no idea Amazon sold flowers and bouquets, but how incredibly efficient is that? Now there’s no need to search for a florist and place an order there. Just find what you’re looking for on Amazon, and make your purchase along with all the rest of your gifts!

Give your loved one the gift of convenience with a Nest thermostat. It’s programmable, and it also learns your patterns so it will adjust the temperature of your home on its own. It’s also controllable through the Nest app as well as through your Amazon Echo device. So not only can you change the temp while sitting on your couch using your phone, you can also turn the heat or a/c up and down by asking Alexa to do it for you. (Ask me how I know… We love our Nest!)

And of course, never underestimate the power of gift cards. She can buy the item she’s had her eye on, and you’re the favorite gift giver for providing it.

Homemade and Handmade

Or if your mom, grandma, or whoever isn’t interested in “gifts,” bring her a basket of baked goods. Add in her beverage of choice, and it will be a sweet thought for the lady who means so much. Also, having the kids make a card is always a bonus.
