Easter is less than a month away. How is that possible? What happened to March?
Easter is one of the most amazing times for delicious candy. At least that’s the opinion in this household. Sure, Halloween is awesome, but not much can compare with the wide variety of Reese’s eggs and Cadbury deliciousness.
And although this is the case, you most likely don’t want to load up your toddler’s Easter basket with chocolate and sugar. Sugar highs lead to sugar crashes, which then lead to sugar crabbiness. No one wants that…
Thankfully, we live in a time where there are so many options for fun, creative gifts for filling toddler Easter baskets that don’t require tons of sweets.

Books
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know how much I love books. So it’s a no-brainer that I’d include a few in my list for toddler Easter basket gifts. Amazon has lots of charming Easter books your kiddies will love. Most of them are secular, but there are a couple religious ones as well.
Also, as I mentioned here, I recently started selling Usborne Books and More products. We have great options that are religious and non-religious in content, and Usborne Books and More books are outstanding in quality. (Not at all biased, am I? Haha)
Bath Time Fun
Bath time is just boring without toys, amiright? So take the opportunity to throw some fun bath toys, soap, and bubbles into your toddler’s Easter basket. You’ll be the favorite, for sure, and bath time will be much more fun.
- Mr. Bubble Magic Bath Crackles – Just empty one of these packets into the tub, your toddler will love to listen to it snap and fizz. This kind of reminds me of those candy packets that do the same thing when you eat them.
- Crayola Color Bath Dropz – How fun will bath time be with
colored bath water? - Honest Bubble Bath Sweet Orange Vanilla scent – I love this scent! It’s so soft and gentle. I actually use the body wash and shampoo on myself as well as Judah. Then I smell like a creamsicle for the rest of the day.
- Crayola Bathtub Finger Paint Soap 5 Pack – What kid doesn’t like finger painting on the bathtub or shower surround? Encourage their creativity with these finger paints and these Crayola Color Swirl Bathtub Crayons!
- Moneysworth & Best Fun House Kids Foam – Bath time can sometimes be a chore. But with scented, foaming soap, your kiddies will love getting clean!
- Choose the Fishing Pole and Squirty Bath Toys for softer toys that squirt water, or the Munchkin Fishin’ Bath Toy for a fishing set that works with magnets. Either way, it’s a fun fishing experience.
- Nuby 10-Pack Little Squirts Fun Bath Toys – Squirty bath toys are a great gift for toddler Easter baskets. Kids love squirting water at themselves, and you. But don’t worry, there are enough in this set that you can have your own to squirt back.
- Stacking & Nesting Cups Baby Building Set – Judah has a similar set, and he loves them! He fills them with water and watches it flow out of the holes in the bottom. (He also tries to drink from them. Ewww…) They also stack and nest together so they’re lots of fun outside the bath as well.
- Get this Ubbi Freestanding Bath Toy Organizer Bath Caddy with Removable Drying Rack Bin and Scoop for the “functional basket” part of your Easter basket, and use it year round by using it to store all these great new bath toys!
Toddler Friendly Snacks
Does your toddler have certain non-perishable snacks they love? Fruit snacks, Goldfish crackers, graham crackers, Gerber Puffs? Throw some in their basket! Grab a set of these Color Changing Reusable Straws too so they can have a little fun while they drink their water or milk.
Toys
- Stuffed animals are so soft and cuddly. And just plain cute! Little ones love snuggling up with their furry friends. Easter stuffed animals are especially adorable. Who doesn’t love bunnies, lambs, and chicks?
- TOMY Toomies Hide & Squeak Eggs – Judah has these, and they’re adorable! Each chick is a different color in its shell, and the bottom has a shape that fits into the matching shape in the carton. Great for teaching matching! One tiny word of warning – don’t step on the top
egg shells . They’re very jagged and would be unfortunately similar to stepping on a Lego.
Crafts and Crayons
Kids love to color and do crafts. So craft projects, crayons, and coloring books are a wonderful option for toddler Easter baskets. Crafts keep them occupied and don’t get them all sugared up. It’s a win-win!
- Melissa & Doug On the Go Water Wow! Reusable Water-Reveal Activity Pads – These use pens that you fill with water to bring out the color in the images. When the page dries, the color disappears. They can color these over and over!
- Be sure to grab this 168 Pieces Easter Stamps for Kids, Assorted Stamps and Stickers set. Stickers and stamps are a sure win in a toddler’s Easter basket!
- Both the Crayola My First Palm Grip Crayons and the Crayola Washable Crayons are large for little hands to hold easily.
- And don’t forget to pick up some coloring books to go with those crayons! Here are a couple of cute options: My First Easter Coloring Book: Easter Toddler Coloring Pages Activity for Ages 1-3 and Fun Easter Coloring Activity Book Basket Stuffer for Toddlers and Kids Ages 3-8
Oriental Trading always has lots of crafts to purchase for just about any holiday you could be looking for. Easter is a big holiday for them, and they’ve got both religious and secular crafts. Your little ones could learn all about Jesus’ death and resurrection with the Color Your Own Resurrection Story Eggs Craft Kit. It would be a great conversation starter! And I just love the stained glass crafts! These Easter Egg Sun Catcher Crafts are darling.
Bubbles!
Kids love bubbles! And there
Baskets
I love making up gift baskets for people. And using functional items as the basket base for gift baskets is one of my favorite ways to do that. So a functional container is a great option if this will be a one time gift, or if you plan to change it up every year. But if you plan to reuse your basket each Easter, check out some of these options.
- For a more traditional Easter basket, this wicker option is just right. And if you wanted to make it more festive looking, you could always add ribbon or other embellishments.
- This sweet gingham basket with bunny ears comes in pink, blue, green, and purple. Lots of options for your toddler’s Easter basket. Plus, it’s perfect for households with several children.
- This bunny basket is darling as well and comes in pink and blue.
Check Your Local Stores For Toddler Easter Basket Gifts!
Don’t forget that brick and mortar stores of all kinds from grocery stores to department stores will have a myriad of darling gift options for your toddler’s Easter basket also. Target has their dollar section which always has super cute things for kids. And places like Michaels, Joann Fabrics, and Hobby Lobby have great craft options. Plus, the dollar store will undoubtedly have lots of things to include too. Oh, and don’t forget to pick up an egg coloring kit while you’re out!
How many Easter baskets will you be giving this year? Do you have a specific gift you like to include?

Glad I read your post. I’m thinking about making my daughter’s basket this time. Thanks for the ideas.
Oh, I’m glad you liked it! Making the basket yourself makes it a bit more personal. It’s one of my favorite ways to give gifts 🙂 Not that premade ones aren’t full of fun goodies too!
